Daw Htar Thant Zin, Acting CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar
Born and raised in Myanmar, Ms. Htar Thant Zin completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from University of Maryland, USA. She worked in technology and e-commerce fields prior to joining Ooredoo Myanmar in 2014. Before becoming an Acting CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar, Htar handled multiple roles as Business Intelligence & Marketing Planning Director and Chief Sales & Distribution Officer. Htar was a major contributor in leading Ooredoo Myanmar’s 4G and 2G commercial launches, expanding local distributors network and the reach of its products and services, and transforming Ooredoo Myanmar’s Sales & Distribution Ecosystem into a leading Digital Sales & Distribution Ecosystem. She is now managing both Ooredoo Myanmar and Ooredoo Myanmar Fintech Limited as an Acting CEO. Htar finished Ooredoo Business Leader Program from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland in 2016. She also won Silver Stevie® Award in the Female Executive of the Year – Consumer Services category, 2018, for her efforts in creating thousands of work opportunities for local people and her innovative and transformative CSR projects implementations across Myanmar during the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. |
Most business and organizations developed mission statements for their institutions. However very few leaders are able to identify their own purpose and more importantly develop action plans to implement it. There is clearly a need to identify the “why?” (Purpose) first, before articulating the “how” (Processes) and the “what” (Actions).
The seminar will focus on ‘Purpose to Impact’ process by presenting a step-by-step framework which can be considered for practical use. It is hoped that business leaders in Myanmar adopt a Purpose-Driven Leadership Style as they navigate and address the challenges, complexities and uncertainties.
