Despite problems, women’s empowerment and corporate governance in Myanmar is set to advance under Ma Cherry Trivedi through the organisation she heads, the Myanmar Institute of Directors.  The main goal of the institute is education. Bringing transparency to corporate governance and educating people about it and gender equality is aimed at making local companies more attractive to investors.
